Here we have one new 28 spline cut-to-length axle for Ford 9" rearends.

This heat treated 28 spline axle has 9" of spline with allows you to cut it down and build your own custom width 9" Ford rearend.
It starts out at 33" long overall and can be shortened up to 26".
Cutting or shortening can be done with a chop saw, cold saw, band saw, lathe or even a hack saw if you are a glutten for punishment.
These axles have a 2 3/8"  offset and includes a new A-20 wheel bearing and 1/2" bolt size Old Style axle retainer. (If you want 2 1/2" offset or 3/8" New Style Torino retainers, check our other listings)
The A-20 bearing will be installed by us unless you specify otherwise.
The axle flange o.d. is 5.944" and is .470" thick. The brake drum register has a 3.060" o.d.
The flange has three wheel bolt patterns. 5 on 4 1/2", 5 on 4 3/4" and 5 on 5". The stud holes measure .685" and accept common 1/2" and 5/8" studs.
We have 1/2" short street studs and 1/2" & 5/8" long racing studs available for these axles. Check our other listings for these.
We can also cut down the O.D. of the flange or brake drum register, cut to length or drill a retainer bolt access hole if needed. Search the word 'Option' in our store or other listings for these.
