    2 INCH EMBROIDERED PATCH
    "LIFE SAVING JUNIOR"
    All of the ARC patches I am listing came with early Girl Scout Uniform lots.  I have had them for decades.  From what I can read, these patches were for completion of Junior Life Saving Training in the Military during World War Two in the1940s.  The Buckram backing attests to the age of approximately 80 years old.  The normal embroidery weave on the red cross might indicate that these came after the the basket-weave red crosses.  Not sure. This appears to be slightly used because there are a few tiny sewing holes that show only when held to the light.  There are No sewing marks.
