Antique/Vintage Mixed Lot of Silver Plate Serving Pieces
All But 1 Has Hallmark
All my items come from family & friends & there isn't any yard sales or thrift store items. I inherited a lot of silver plate items & this listing is just half of the them. I have so many pictures of each item, but refused to pay extra to add them. If you should want to see another view of an item, please let me know & I will send you the picture.
BRIEF DETAILS:
1) Candy Dish with Handle by WMF-IKORA - Above the label it's etched with their hallmark & then it says 'IKORA GERMANY E.P.BRASS. The inside of the dish has a wavy appearance to it, but it's nice & smooth & this was the way it was designed & made. The sticker says it's "Tarnish Resistant."
2) Matching Sugar & Creamer: Both are marked POOLE SILVER CO - TAUNTON, MASS - EPNS
3) 2 Piece GRAVY Boat & Saucer: Both are marked with the etched hallmark - REED & BARTON - 1146 - EMBASSY & below that is the letter "A" inside what appears to be a capital "C" - this set shows the most as far as scratches. Possibly they can be rubbed out, but I didn't try.
4) Ornate Jelly/Jam container with 4 pieces: I love this set but have never used it & hopefully someone will enjoy it. It's marked HF - 0917 & the sticker says it's "Tarnish Resistant." The lid has a slot for the spoon & the spoon is is slotted & marked on the back EPNS. The glass insert is thick & heavy & can be easily removed for washing.
5) Large 9" Serving Spoon: Hallmark has a 'star' ROGERS & BRO A1. The front has the monogram that looks like the letter "O" & then "B". Very ornate & pretty serving spoon!
6) Small 5" Spoon: This is the only piece that I'm not able to find a hallmark on. It's smaller than a regular teaspoon & may possibly have been used a fruit spoon, but I'm not sure. It does has a very pretty design.
7) 'Shell' Spoon: It reminds me of a shell, but I actually don't know what type of spoon it is. It's approximately 6" long & the hallmark on the back reads: B.S.CO. A1.
8) Gravy Ladle: Marked on the back C.G. TAYLOR. Very cute ladle & note the design on the end of the handle.
9) Baby Spoon: It's very hard to read, but inside the curved handle it's says COMMUNITY PLATE. It appears that it was made from a spoon. I just found out that this was my Aunt Helen's baby spoon & she was born in 1922. I should keep it, but that's my problem, I keep way too much & I need to downsize.
10) Tip Toe: I believe these were used to dress up a pair of shoes. The are marked with the words TIP TOE, but no other hallmark. The clasp is tight & snug on both & maybe you can use them for your shoes or find another creative way to show them off because they are very pretty.
As I mentioned above, I do have several more unique silver plated items that I will be listing soon, so please keep checking back. I also have a few single items listed now & I'm always happy to combine shipping whenever possible!
