We have been a supplier of this defrost clock for about 6 years now. I have only seen (2) fail out of the 1,000's we have sold. Here is the reason why this time clock is virtually bullet proof
40 Amp relay built in the clock. This has the ability to accommodate the most demanding loads from the compressor and defrost heaters
This unit uses did switches and solid state timing for the time of defrost. Most other clock still use the mechanical timer, it operates with plastic wheels and cams.  When it gets dust or debri in the clock it will fail.

Being solid state this unit can accept 120/277 VAC
